Appointments will be made under a 1-year contract of service in the first instance and may be extended subsequently.Origins LabThe overarching aim of the lab is to understand the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD) and translate it into meaningful clinical insights. We hope to maximize human potential (neurodevelopment) and prevent the development of obesity/cardiometabolic disease at its root, early in life.Using data collected from multiple longitudinal birth cohorts, we utilize rigorous statistical methods including growth modelling (mixed effects models, various parametric and non-parametric models, etc.), mixture modelling (quantile g-computation, etc.), causal inference, machine learning, and multi-omics analysis.We are a newly established lab, providing an inspiring and positive environment which nurtures scientific curiosity and the development of valuable quantitative skills, whether for a career in academia or industry.
