Job Description

BetaLife is an early-stage start up developing stem cell therapy for diabetes. You will play an active role in an entrepreneurial team with extensive experience in stem cells and diabetes biology, to contribute to our therapeutic development and commercial pipelines with the potential to provide a better life for diabetes patients. You will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities covering both research and operational activities and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the activities of a biotech company.Key responsibilities:R&D

• Processing and culturing of primary cell samples
• Culturing of stem cells (mesenchymal stromal cells, induced pluripotent stem cells)
• Banking of primary cells and stem cells
• Directed differentiation of stem cells into pancreatic cells
• Characterization and quality control of cell/tissue samples and data analysis
• Maintenance of accurate records of processes and experimental data
• Preparation of research data and written reports as required
• Perform additional research activities and duties as specified by management

Operations

• Conduct market research and landscaping analyses
• Assist in marketing materials and activities
• General lab and administrative duties to ensure smooth operations
• Procurement and inspection of reagents, consumables and equipment
• Liaison with external vendors/service providers
• Maintenance of inventories, sample logs, SOPs and workflow documents
• Management of waste disposal routes for general, biohazard and chemical wastes
• Provide administrative support during audits
• Compliance with safety guidelines, GLP and cGMP requirements (where applicable)
