Job Description


The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a research engineer (1-year contract, renewable) to develop Web and mobile applications for teaching people about deepfakes and their identification. The engineer will work closely with research project members at WKWSCI to conduct research studies and utilize the findings to design, implement and evaluate educational applications.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop Web and mobile applications and gamesCollect data through qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, surveys and experiments for the purposes of conducting software evaluationManage student assistants and other personnel to support the projectPrepare progress reports and other research-related documentsWrite journal or conference articles related to the projectPerform research administration tasks including but not limited to liaising with NTU and external parties on matters related to the project and answering queries about the projectJob Requirements:Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or related computing fieldsStrong programming skillsExperience in user interface design and evaluationExperience with developing Web and mobile applicationsAbility to multi-task and work independentlyGood teamwork skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsInterest in applications of technology in academic researchWe regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
