Research Engineer I (computer Science/mechanical/aerospace Engineering)
Job Description
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.
The applicant is expected be an independent engineer with research skills. Candidate is expected to develop innovative solutions using AI and machine learning with applications to air traffic flow management. The applicant is required to assist in writing publications for conferences and journals and also to assist the Research Fellow/team Lead in project related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and engineer artificial intelligence methods and machine learned models.
Collect and analyze air traffic data related to the project.
Write computer software for optimization algorithm and models for Air traffic management.
Run simulations and perform visualization and data analysis.
Develop prototypes and intelligent tools for Air traffic flow management.
Assist RF with project activities.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
Evidence of developing Machine Learning models for Air Traffic Management/Airport systems
Strong programming skills in Python, C++, MATLAB
Good English writing and communication skills
Independent and team player
