Job Description
We welcome applications for a Research Engineer II position on Flight simulation and control at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The appointment is full-time and is funded for 2 1/2 years. The selected candidate will join a vibrant and dynamic research group, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to work on the following.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of a high-fidelity flight simulator based on physics-aware models of the eVTOL, integrating all the eVTOL sub-systems such propulsion units, control, sensors, etc.
Implementation and simulation of autonomous control frameworks for an eVTOL platform
Presentation of research progress, reports, and latest findings at regular intervals.
Publishing research findings for high-impact research articles.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in the field of Electrical/ Computer Science/ Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering with a major emphasis in the domain of simulation.
Sound knowledge of flight simulation modeling and flight control implementation
Sound coding skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python and Linux.
Excellent knowledge of ROS2 and Gazebo.
Good English writing and communication skills.
