The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) represents a key collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund, ANGEL creates and deploys impactful green digital technologies for global sustainability.
ANGEL's mission aligns seamlessly with Singapore's national objectives, such as the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the Singapore Smart Nation Initiative. ANGEL's work in developing sustainable and equitable digital solutions and promoting a sustainable and green lifestyle will contribute to a smaller carbon footprint. Key Responsibilities:To perform pioneer research in exploring learning-based model compression and green AI/computing. To perform systematic investigation into the characteristics of big models, to meet the emerging requirements for AI. To set up and analyze experiments and datasets under different conditions. To propose a methodology/framework in a software prototype to be developed in the project. To report research findings in the form of reports/patents/papers and present in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. To be involved in the mentoring of Master/FYP students.

Job Requirements:Bachelor's (for PO and Research Assistant equivalent) / Master's (for Research Associate equivalent) /degree in computer science, electrical & electronic engineering or related field At least 2 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in model compression and green AI/computing Prior research experience and track record in R&D Good written and oral communication skills Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, C, Matlab) and numeric and analytical skill Self-driven, highly motivated, with interest to work with other researchers and scientists (as a team player) to produce high-quality research.
