Research Engineer Intern
Job Description
SIMTech is a Research Institute under A*STAR Singapore that focuses on research and development of technologies to help increase the productivity and competitiveness the manufacturing ecosystem in Singapore.
The internship on offer is with the Additive Manufacturing Division, which develops additive manufacturing and post-processing technologies to produce metal, polymer, ceramic, and multi-material products with complex and precise geometries. The division strives to advance additive manufacturing technologies towards ubiquitous adoption as a digitized, integrated, resilient, and sustainable manufacturing path.
We are looking for candidates that are open to learning the methods in research and development required to advance the field of Additive Manufacturing, especially metal material laser powder bed fusion. The intern will first be taught and then be supervised by various team members in our division to provide much needed and appreciated support to execute various research and development projects coming from industry and funded grants. Interested candidates should already have a background in Engineering or Physical Sciences courses.
