Job Description

He/she will primarily work on the maritime big data and AI related research projects, carrying out big data preprocessing, data management, assisting the development of big spatio-temporal data modeling technologies, maritime AI modeling, visualization and interface design for research under Maritime AI Research Programme. He/she will be also responsible for database construction and maintenance and software management in the programme and assist research scientist to fulfill the research tasks and deliverables towards testing and productization.

Job Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, mathematics and statistics, electrical engineering, or other relevant areas
Ability to work independently to translate research ideas into programs with efficient coding
Proficient in front-end and back-end software development and data processing
Basic knowledge on data analytics and machine learning
Experience in transport, logistics and supply chain, risk management and/or maritime shipping or urban systems in general is an added advantage
Good team player with both research and engineering ethics
Good interpersonal and communication skills
