Research Fellow (actuarial Science And Insurance)
Job Description
The Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) at the Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidates will be working and interacting with researchers at IRFRC and GAIP, with emphasis on:
Develop models and forecasts for pandemic risk, mortality, and morbidity rates in Asian countries.
Collect data from various public sources.
Conduct a comprehensive literature survey to underpin the development of risk financing solutions.
Generate high-quality research articles and industry reports.
Present research findings effectively to GAIP sponsors and the academic community.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Insurance, Statistics, or related fields
Proven research experience with a track record of publications in top-tier journals in the field
Relevant insurance/actuarial industry experience and actuarial designations are assets, but not are not mandatory requirements
The successful candidate should also demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly effectiveness in communicating complex concepts to the public, and attention to detail
