Job Description
The successful candidate will work in the . Our laboratory investigates the functions of epigenetic regulators in embryonic development and the consequences of mutations in congenital diseases. We use a variety of models including zebrafish, mice and human cells. This project is aimed at understanding the mechanisms of epigenetic memory.
The main responsibilities of the position include
- Designing and executing experiments related to epigenetics
- Guiding junior members including PhD students and research assistants
Qualifications / Discipline:
- PhD in molecular biology, genetics, developmental biology or related fields
- Fresh PhD holders welcomed
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and able to work well in a team
- Motivated and independent
- Organized, dedicated and reliable
- Critical thinking and scientific achievement in research, exemplified by publications, conference presentations or patents
- Excellent knowledge and skill in molecular biology
- Knowledge and interest in epigenetics regulation
- Experience with generating and analysing NGS data or performing genome-wide screens will be an advantage
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and/ or vertebrate animal models preferred
