Job Description
* The Allergy and Molecular Immunology Laboratory /
- Molecular Breeding Laboratory at the Lee Hiok Kwee Functional Genomics Laboratories, Department of Biological Sciences led by Associate Professor CHEW Fook Tim, is currently looking for
- Molecular Biologist and
- Bioinformatician / Geneticist / Statistician, to work on their projects spanning the Epidemiology and Genetics of Allergic and Skin Diseases, as well as in the Molecular Breeding of Leafy Greens.
Those considering the Molecular Breeding projects will work on * Germplasm evaluation and assessment,
- Key Phenotypic Definition and Evaluation,
- Characterization of Genetic Control,
- Cultivar Development,
- Integration of Genomic Data into Cultivation Processes, and
- Multi-Location Trial Evaluations.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should hold or is going to obtain a PhD and have relevant experience in related areas.
- Strong motivation and leadership in pursuing challenging scientific questions.
- An ability to work well with interdisciplinary colleagues.
- Experience in mentoring and training junior researchers.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good time and resource management skills.
