A/Prof Jason Yeo\'s research group in the Department of Chemistry, National University of Singapore, has been developing electrocatalytic materials and systems for energy conversion reactions.

We are now looking for a highly motivated and qualified post-doctoral researcher to push the frontier of our research. The successful candidate will design and build high-performance electrolysers for the electrochemical CO2 or CO reduction reaction. The emphasis of the project will be to scale the electrodes to produce hydrocarbons with long carbon chains with high current densities, good selectivities and long stabilities (Nature Catalysis, 5, 545-554 (2022)).

The successful candidate will be working in an inter-disciplinary team of about 10 researchers. The department of chemistry, NUS is ranked consistently as one of the world\'s best chemistry departments.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the field of CO2 or CO reduction is not necessary. However, the candidate should have expertise in electrochemistry, assembly and testing of electrolysers
• PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, and adapt into new areas as the needs of the project evolve
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
