School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) welcomes applications for a Research Fellow position on Flight dynamics digital twin modeling at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
The selected candidate will join a vibrant and dynamic research group, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to work on the following.
Key Responsibilities:
Design experiments on eVTOL structures to determine their aerodynamic models.
Develop physics-driven learning-based models to identify the eVTOL dynamics.
Develop scalable neural network models to identify eVTOL dynamics under faults, external disturbances and sensor failures.
Real-time validation of the eVTOL digital twin under various circumstances.
Presentation of research progress, reports, and latest findings at regular intervals.
Publishing research findings for high-impact research articles.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in the field of Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering with a major emphasis in the domain of fixed-wing flight dynamics.
Sound knowledge of flight dynamics modeling (stability and handling qualities analyses), aerodynamics, machine learning, data analysis, and neural networks.
Sound coding skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python.
Proficient in using machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow and Keras.
Good English writing and communication skills (required).
