Energy Studies Institute
The Energy Studies Institute (ESI) is a research institute at the National University of Singapore seeking to advance the understanding of energy policy issues by conducting independent research and analysis.
The Energy Economics Division within ESI is looking to recruit an economist at the rank of Research Fellow. The appointed staff will operate under the responsibility of the Division Head and work closely with all members of the Energy Economics Division.
Candidates are expected to be highly familiar with economics, and have had formal training in pure economics, energy economics, environmental economics or a closely related area. An important component of that expertise would include advanced econometric skills. Experience analysing electricity markets and energy commodity markets and evaluating impacts of energy and climate change policies would be preferable. An understanding of Singapore\'s economic system, and local work experience is desirable.
This will initially be a two-year position, with the possibility for renewal subject to satisfactory performance and finance.
