Join our dynamic team at School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) as a Research Fellow in Ionic Liquids and Eutectic Solvents, where you will lead innovative research project focused on synthesis, characterization, and applications of these solvents in sustainable protein production. You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and publishing research findings in high-impact journals, contributing to a wider research project on proteins involving several research areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct research projects focusing on the synthesis and applications of ionic liquids and eutectic solvents.
Design experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to contribute to the development of new edible proteins.
Publish research findings in reputable journals.
Synthesize and characterize pure ionic liquids and eutectic solvents for application in protein production.
Explore the diverse potential of ionic liquids and eutectic solvents in purification of proteins.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of research projects and the translation of findings into edible proteins.
Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and expertise in ionic liquids and eutectic solvents through the successful execution of research projects and the publication of impactful research papers.
Uphold ethical research practices and adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines and protocols to ensure the integrity and reliability of research outcomes.
Coordinate the progress with other research teams.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry with a focus on synthesis, purification and characterization of ionic liquids and eutectic solvents.
Understanding of protein chemistry is an advantage.
Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data analysis (NMR, IR, MS etc), and publication of research findings in reputable journals.
Proven ability to lead research projects and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding ethical research practices and regulatory guidelines.
