Job Description
The selected candidate is required to work on
- Polymer synthesis
- Nanomaterials synthesis
- Design and synthesis of star-like and bottlebrush-like block copolymers
- Investigation into the effects of polymer compositions and architectures on polymer electrolyte performance for high-performance solid-state batteries
- Mentor PhD students
- Draft grant proposals
- Oversee laboratory safety
- PhD degree in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, polymer science and engineering, or chemistry
- Ample research experience in polymerization, synthesis of nanomaterials and nanocomposites
- Solid background/experience in polymer synthesis and characterization, batteries and electrochemistry
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Strong publication record
- Prior undergraduate and master students mentoring experience.
- Open to fixed term contract
