Job Description

A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Singapore Membrane Technology Center (NEWRI - SMTC).

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, water reuse, resource recovery and etc

Mentor junior PhD students, master students, undergraduate students for their research projects

Job Requirements:

PhD degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry and etc

Excellent journal paper publication record

Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill

Oral presentation skill and multitasking skill

Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies

Relevant research experience and industrial experience in membrane process and system development, operation, and optimization will be preferred

Relevant research experience in membrane and separation process modelling/simulation, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and/or digital twin development will be preferred

Relevant research experience in the fabrication/synthesis of RO/NF/FO/PRO/ion exchange membranes/organic solvent membranes and/or organic chemical synthesis will be preferred

Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team

Good collaborative spirit

Good interpersonal skills

Good communication and writing in English
