The research group of Asst. Prof. Wang Bo at Singapore University of Technology and Design invites applications for the position of Research Fellow on Neuromorphic Computing Accelerator Design.
Neuromorphic Computing deploys Spiking Neuron Networks (SNN) models and learning rules to solve machine learning problems in a more energy-efficient way compared to Artificial Neural Networks. To facilitate AI on edge computing, energy-efficient architectures, low-power circuits and novel devices are highly desirable by SNN accelerators.
In this project, candidates are expected to work with the Principal Investigator to (1) design and validate energy-efficient on-chip training architecture and circuits and (2) assist in novel device modelling and integration. Applicants should obtain a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a background in either computer architecture or integrated circuits design. Experience with (1) mix-signal IC design on memories or (2) digital chip or chip architecture design for AI acceleration or (3) hardware-software co-design strategies will be a strong plus.
