Job Description
A Research Fellow position is available in the school of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at Nanyang Technological University with a focus on online resource allocation and data-driven optimization with applications to ride sourcing. The candidate will be encouraged to pursue his or her own, and newly arising, applications using a data-driven optimization approach.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research on data-driven optimization
- Conduct research on online resource allocation
- Develop collaboration with other research teams, public agents and particularly industry partners
- Basic administrative support
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematical Optimization, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, before the anticipated start date of August 1, 2022
- Expertise in at least one of the areas of online resource allocation, (mixed-integer) linear or convex optimization, machine learning
- Have strong coding skills (one or more of R, Julia or Python) and experience using one or more commercial optimization solvers
