The key outcome of the research will be the early identification of new pathogens, out of which new diagnostic tests, treatments and control strategies will be developed.This position is for a full-time Research Assistant with a strong background in Microbiology/Immunology to work in a dynamic research team focused on bat biology. The candidate is expected to play a critical role in generating and fostering a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research environment by performing a variety of research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate. The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: -

• Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project.
• Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings.
• Provide support experience for MRNA vaccine studies.
• Assist in the maintaining of cell cultures
• Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs, maintain safety protocols and laboratory housekeeping.
• Provide guidance and training to students.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

• PhD Degree in Life Sciences with Microbiology/Immunology background.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge, skills and technical expertise in supporting various biological research activities.
• Equipped with basic routine laboratory skills, including biological safety.
• Possess interpersonal communications skills with excellent written, oral communication and computer skills.
• A strong team player who is open-minded, independent, highly motivated and can work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and diverse workforce.
