Job Description

A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for OptoElectronics and Biophotonics, School of School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The research fellow will work on a project to conduct the research and coordination on integrated semiconductor platforms for ultrafast electrical tuning of nano antennas at near/mid-infrared frequencies. The roles of this position include:

Conduct Advanced 2D semiconductor heterostructures fabrications for study of matter-Phonon coupling

Perform Plamson-Phonon strong coupling to show electrical tunable SPhPs

Conduct Moir\xc3\xa9 pattern exploration and related devices

Characterization of semiconductor materials

Conduct the defect testing of the semiconductor materials

Modulation of SPhP properties by tuning

Collect and analyze the experimental data

Work with the team members and help to prepare reports related to the project

Job Requirements:

PhD in Science, Engineering, Physics or other related background

More than 5-year working experience in related area

A desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment

Self-motivated and good tasks initiative

Good in English

Experience in mid-infrared/THz optoelectronics

Experience in nanomaterials synthesis, nano structure characterization

Experience of using FTIR, XRD, SEM, Magnetic transport, Photoluminescence Spectroscopy

Experience of the photonics device fabrication in clean room

Experimental experience in the Mid-IR spectroscopy

Demonstration of innovative scientific results obtained during the PhD
