Job Description
The Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build experiments on various resonator based biomedical sensor techniques, quantum dot based up and down conversion and spectral and or polarisation detection.
- Follow the literature and identify new potential detection techniques and solutions
- Conceptualise novel physical principles for biomedical sensing
- Writing research papers and research proposals
- Supervise FYP students as required
- Contribute to research administration as and when required
- Contribute to teaching in IDMxS
- PhD degree in physics, photonics or electrical engineering from a prestigious university is essential with a minimum of 2 years postdoctoral experience.
- Outstanding scientific publication record with Tier 1 papers.
- Active and working knowledge of quantum optics, single photon emitters, quantum dots, coherent coupling techniques, plasmonics and microscopy.
- Active scientific collaboration with external groups.
- Teaching experience is essential.
- Practical knowledge of common programming languages and simulation software is essential.
