The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. The research group of Dr. Sandip Basak at Nanyang Technological University has opening for one Research Fellow position to perform high quality research in the field of membrane protein. This lab established recently with expertise in the field of Ligand Gated Ion Channels ( ).
Key Responsibilities:
Molecular biology, protein expression (preferably insect cells and/or mammalian cells) and purification, and various biochemical techniques.
Cryo-EM sample preparation, grid optimization, high resolution data collection, data processing using various programs, interpretation, 3D reconstruction, model building and refinement.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in structural Biology or related field.
Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with membrane protein expression, purification. Expertise in cryo-EM sample preparation, data collection, processing.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in experimental and analytical techniques, supported by publications in high-impact journals.
Ability to work independently, develop solutions under strict timelines, excellent organizational and time management skills.
