Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in Prof Chong Yidong\xe2\x80\x99s group covering both theoretical and experimental topics in quantum topological photonics, and related topics.
Key areas of research include:
Design of topological photonic lattices in the quantum optics regime
Theoretical study of topological, non-Hermitian, and quantum photonic devices
Exploration of new topics in related areas of photonics research
Requirements:
PhD in Physics or a related major
Good publication record in the field of photonics, quantum optics, or a related field
Minimum 3 years research experience (inclusive of PhD candidature) in photonics, quantum optics, or a related field
Good working knowledge of theoretical methods relevant to condensed matter physics, photonics, and quantum optics, including tight-binding methods and the calculation of topological band invariants
Good programming skills in Python, Matlab, or other scientific programming framework
Good working knowledge of how to use electromagnetics simulation software, such as Meep or Comsol, is preferred
