Gather seismic data in fields.
Develop novel approaches for seismic data processing
Improve and develop state-of-the-art seismic modeling, inversion, and imaging technologies to investigate subsurface structures to better serve the purpose of site selection and seismic monitoring of CO2 migration during the process of CO2 capture, utilization and sequestration (CCUS).
Develop both surface wave tomography (conventional + ambient noise adjoint tomography) and body wave tomography (adjoint-state traveltime tomography + full waveform inversion) technologies to image the detailed near-surface subsurface structures from tens of meters to a few kilometers.
Publish high-quality scientific results in top peer-reviewed journals.
Job Requirements:
PhD in mathematics, geophysics, seismology, computer sciences, or equivalent.
Evidence of innovation and/or high-quality publications in computational & applied mathematics, geophysics, seismology, or physics.
