Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.

Our team is hiring a full-time Research Fellow for a project investigating how information cascades in closed messaging app groups, such as Telegram. Selected candidate will work closely with Prof Edson Tandoc Jr.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure project milestones are on track and on time;

Supervise and train student assistants;

Coordinate with PI, research engineers, and collaborators;

Conceptualise, design, and implement academic research projects;

Prepare, manage, and maintain research data and records;

Oversee manuscript preparation and data analysis;

Undertake any additional ad-hoc administrative duties as required by the PI

Job Requirements:

PhD degree with at least 1 year of experience of full-time postdoctoral experience

Relevant experience in academic research, especially in conducting online surveys.

Demonstrable intellectual excellence.

Maturity and capacity to begin an independent research career.

Desire and potential to develop as a future academic leader.

Team player with the ability to work with a large research team of principal investigators, collaborators and research staffs.

Proactive and willing to take initiatives.

Be available to take up the position no later than 31 October 2023.
