This role focuses on using NMR (solution- and solid-state) techniques to investigate the structural basis of liquid-liquid phase separation using a minimal model.Key Responsibilities:Perform peptide synthesis and purification independentlyPrepare samples as required and run NMR experiments independentlyDevelop recombinant expression and purification of isotope-labelled peptides for the purpose of downstream NMR experimentsAnalyze NMR data and report key findingsProvide leadership, communication skills and mentorship to students working in the teamJob Requirements:PhD in Structural Biology or related fieldAt least 4 years of relevant laboratory experience in peptide synthesis, protein purification and NMRFamiliarity with NMR sample preparation and handling of NMR spectrometersStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and adhere to grant milestones within stipulated amount of timeThe College of Science seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity.
