Research Fellow/Associate position for Artificial Intelligence (AI) research is available at National Heart Centre Singapore. We are a world-class institution (Newsweek Top 50 Cardiac Hospitals). Cardiovascular disease is the world\xe2\x80\x99s no.1 killer. The Cardiovascular Systems Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (CVS.AI) is conducting leading research to harness AI to solve the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest health problem and we have attained local and international media coverage. We conduct in-depth assessments of cardiovascular disease amongst at-risk populations in Singapore and internationally to uncover new knowledge of complex patterns of cardiovascular disease. We are looking for a researcher with a creative mind, strong communication skills and a team player to work with us on collaborative projects with multiple local hospitals. You will be working closely with teams of AI and clinical researchers and specialists who have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of deep learning and have considerable experience in applying deep learning to different problems. Our group has a well established reputation in developing AI insights for cardiac image analysis and digital health. You will collaborate with international and local centres of excellence, with cumulative datasets of over 100,000 images. You will receive training and guidance to be in the niche area of applying deep learning for bioimage analysis applications. You will have the opportunity to learn and hone your AI skills along with guiding clinical/medical knowledge through various projects in the team. This will be the differentiating factor for you as an AI scientist at our lab. You will also learn to sharpen your communication, collaboration, project management and leadership skills. You will develop, modify and implement deep learning algorithms and insights. You are responsible for the overall progress of the research projects under you. You are also required to prepare scientific manuscripts for submission for publication in journals, submit research grants and maintain research income. The selected candidate will be offered employment on 2-year renewable contractual terms. Requirements:

• PhD or Master in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in biomedical engineering, biological/life science or related research field is preferred
• General laboratory experience
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Good organisational skills
