Reporting to the Head of Research xe2x80x93 Asia Pacific, he/she is responsible for assisting the team to produce analysis on oil products trading desk.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist in tracking of global oil flows by product grades, analyze emerging trends and provide insights to trading desksAssist in tracking changes in refinery capacity and turnarounds, to develop understanding of refinery operations during this processTimely and concise analysis of market developments relating to the crude oil and oil products markets, add depth to the existing analysis at country and company levelCollaborate with other analysts across Singapore, Beijing, Geneva and Houston to analyze the macro oil supply and demandMonitor the development of alternative fuels markets including renewables, biofuels and natural gasAssist in the production of regular market outlook slide packs for senior managementAct as interface between traders and IT front office team to maintain and add functionality to the internal reporting interface (Gunvor Data platform).Suggest new ways of displaying price and fundamentals data, and ways to imrove automation in the teamxe2x80x99s work processesPerform other ad hoc tasks assigned by managerProfileThe individual should have the following experience:Strong analytical skillsHigh accuracy of data inputProficient computer applications knowledge in Excel (VBA Macros) and strong aptitude to master basic level of Python programmingStrong prioritization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure in dynamic environmentAbility to work with tight deadlinesSelf-motivated individual and ability to work independently with limited supervision.Applicants need to commit to the standard 5 days work week throughout the entire 6 months internship period.If you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply!Our people make all the difference in our success.
