:

The Pathogen Modulation Laboratory in A*STAR ID Labs focuses on exploring the mechanisms behind arbovirus neuropathogenesis. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic researcher to join us in this adventure of studying neuro-immune dynamics during arboviral infections. This work may involve the need to work in a BSL-2+ or BSL-3 environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Involvement in projects related to metabolic regulation in host cells during inflammation

Perform in vitro and animal experiments.

Perform wet lab experiments using techniques such as molecular biology, immunohistochemical analysis, flowcytometry.

Perform husbandry and genotyping of the laboratory?s mouse colony.

Provide laboratory maintenance support and procurement activities.

Job Requirements:

At least a bachelor?s degree in life sciences.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Team player, independent, self-driven with good interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexible hours and committed.

Competency with animal work and immunological/molecular biological techniques; flow cytometry.

Experience in infection/immunity, handling BSL-2 or BSL-3 viral pathogens, cell culture, animal handling, flow cytometry, cellular and molecular techniques.

Expertise in neuroscience including but not limited to neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, sensory/motor system, neurotransmitter signaling, neuroimmunology would be highly advantaged.

Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to complete research projects.

Highly motivated and able to work independently.

Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Good spoken and written communication skills.
