Our laboratory is studying the relationships among metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), metabolically-related heart disease, and sarcopenia. These conditions frequently occur concomitantly with diabetes and obesity.
You will be part of a cardiovascular metabolic disorders research team reporting to the principal investigator. You will perform experiments on cell culture and mouse models of metabolic disease affecting the liver, heart, and skeletal muscle, metabolomic and genomic analyses, and RNA and protein processing and analyses. You will maintain mouse colonies and perform in vivo and cell culture studies. You are also responsible for the maintenance of a small laboratory, including ordering of supplies.
Job requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent Experience in tissue specimen harvesting and handling, cell culture, and molecular biology preferred Attention to details and able to work independently Req ID: 4401
