Job Description

Responsibilities

• To supervise A&A and Restoration Works to Two (2) Conservation Buildings and One (1) Three-Storey Building at Istana which JTC as government Building & Infrastructure Centre of Excellence has undertaken to manage for a period of 36 months
• To ensure that the works are done to the best quality possible within the schedules and approved contractors\xe2\x80\x99 work programme.
• To review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project;
• To ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies and Statutory Compliance.
• To monitor contractors\xe2\x80\x99 schedules, day works, site progress, etc.
• To check that Environmental, Health and Safety matters on the sites are properly managed by the contractors and comply with the legislations

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or accreditation with Professional bodies of equivalent standing as Board of Architects, Singapore;
• Possess at least 10 years of working experience and site supervision of building works, architectural elements and finishing works.
• Provide leadership to manage a team of Resident Site Supervisors.
• Preferably with good knowledge and experience in A&A works of reasonable complexity, conservation trade and restoration techniques.
• Be overall in charge of the management and control of ALL Site Supervisors
• To provide leadership and administrative control of the other Site Supervisors, institute and maintain discipline, punctuality, keep daily records of staff attendance
