Job Description

Responsibilities

• To supervise A&A and Restoration Works to Two (2) Conservation Buildings and One (1) Three-Storey Building at Istana which JTC as government Building & Infrastructure Centre of Excellence has undertaken to manage for a period of 36 months
• To attend all project meetings, site, progress and design/technical meetings as required, site demonstrations, witness testing and commissioning, and to keep proper minutes or notes of these meetings as directed;
• To observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner;
• To monitor contractors\xe2\x80\x99 schedules, day works, site progress, etc.
• To verify progress payment claims, all other claims and reports submitted by the contractors;
• To ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practice

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent or accreditation recognized by PEB Singapore
• Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience as a resident engineer.
• Provide leadership to the C&S Resident Site Supervisor.
• Preferably with good knowledge and experience in A&A works, conservation trade and restoration techniques.
• Good supervisory and leadership skill.
• To report identified discrepancies between construction drawings and to check that these discrepancies have been resolved before execution of works on site
