Job Description

Responsibilities:

Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements. Identify and report discrepancies to the Consultant, recommending practical and timely solutions to prevent project delays. Ensure that all site activities comply with client requirements, building codes, and statutory regulations. Supervise contractors to ensure strict adherence to approved method statements, work procedures, and quality standards. Verify that all works are executed in accordance with Consultant and QP instructions. Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects, non-conformities, or poor workmanship, and ensure prompt implementation of corrective measures. Inspect and verify materials delivered to site for compliance with approved specifications and samples. Oversee and witness material testing (e.g., concrete, steel, finishes) to confirm compliance with quality and performance standards. Monitor inspection, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with the design intent and project requirements. Report quality concerns, safety issues, and progress challenges promptly to the Project QP or Consultant. Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports. Review and verify contractors' progress claims, including completed works and materials on-site, before endorsement. Update as-built drawings and document all approved variations and changes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university. Registered Resident Engineer (RE) with the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES). Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in the supervision of LTA, HDB, CAG, or Building projects . Thorough knowledge of the Building Control Act, Regulations, and contract administration processes. Proficient in maintaining systematic site records and contract documentation to meet statutory reporting requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. * Willing to work rotational shifts when required.
