Resident Physician (urgent)

Job Description
2 x full day Locum Resident Physician needed. (URGENT) Location: East area Setting: Community Hospital Service Frequency: 5 days a week

- Able to commence as soon as Mar/ Apr 2023
- Do daily ward rounds to review patients\xe2\x80\x99 conditions and order treatment, investigations as required.
- Attend to new admissions by reviewing patients\xe2\x80\x99 referral notes, performing physical examinations and interviewing family members (clerking of new admissions)
- Do rounds with visiting consultants and to consider/carry out their recommendations.
- Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, venepuncture, setting up IV, etc.
- Participate in Patient Care Conference, hence contributing to the care and/or discharge plans of patients. This may include screening and referring patients to day rehabilitation centres or the Home Nursing Services and/or Home Medical Services.
- Attend emergencies in the wards.
- Attend clinical ward rounds with the medical team on a daily basis
- Do exit ward rounds to hand over to the doctor on-call
- Cover the duties of the other doctors during their leave
- Keep abreast of development in medical practices.
- Research and write healthcare and clinical policies as and when required.
- Participate in research work under the supervision of the MD.
- Participate in committee work, project(s) as directed by the MD from time to time.
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 40 per week Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
