Working Hours: 44 hrs/week (primarily Mon-Fri; occasional night shifts possible if schedule accelerates).
About the Role
You will serve as the Civil Resident Technical Officer (RTO) representing the Owner's Engineer on a large-scale power generation facility.
You will monitor and supervise civil and structural works carried out by the main contractor (JEL/MHI) and its subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design intent, codes, safety, and contractual specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Review and monitor the contractor's method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Witness site tests (e.g., pile load, rebar, concrete cube, compaction, etc.) and document results.
Maintain site inspection records, NCRs, RFI responses, daily reports, and photographic documentation.
Coordinate with the Owner's Engineer, client representatives, contractor's RTOs, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues promptly.
Monitor work quality, safety, and progress; report deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Support night shift or accelerated works if required (time off in lieu provided).
Requirements
Registered Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil/Structural) with BCA/CORENET accreditation in Singapore.
Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of site supervision experience, preferably on industrial plants, power generation facilities, or large infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Singapore Building Control Act, Codes of Practice, WSH regulations, and site safety standards.
Able to liaise confidently with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
Available immediately or within short notice preferred.
