Description

• Support and assist the RE in all of the above duties as directed by him
• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site
• Supervise the Mechanical & Electrical related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, sketches and site instructions by the supervising qualified persons and project consultants;
• Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies,
• Report to the supervising qualified persons any work that are not constructed according to the building approved plans;
• Report to the Authority’s appointed project manager and/or project consultants any work that are not constructed according to the specifications and drawings;
• Assist in the review of contractor’s method statements and working procedure, and to ensure that they are followed on site;
• Verify progress payment claims, all other claims and reports submitted by the contractors;
• Check shop drawings, samples, etc. submitted by contractors and their subcontractors / suppliers / vendors;
• Keep and review records of works including materials, samples, site equipment, inspections, test reports and ensure proper documentation;
• Check the quality of materials delivered to the sites and report as directed, any materials that do not conform to the specifications;

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing; and
• Registered as Resident Technical Officer with BCA/IES/ACES; and
• Possess at least 5 years of site supervision experience.
