Primary Roles & Responsibilities\xef\x82\xb7The patching cabling between network equipment and client\xe2\x80\x99s network\xef\x82\xb7The installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet\xef\x82\xb7The installation, troubleshooting and de-installing IT equipment (Servers / Network /Storage / etc)o Install/swap out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.)\xef\x82\xb7Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels\xef\x82\xb7Act as interface between client\xe2\x80\x99s associates and management\xef\x82\xb7Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure\xef\x82\xb7Perform onsite call-through, data, voice, website and security testing\xef\x82\xb7Perform back-up testing to ensure all systems are connected to the client\xe2\x80\x99s network as directed\xef\x82\xb7Support carrier testing of circuits\xef\x82\xb7Assist with facilities efforts such as vendor coordination and vendor supervisiono Power and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoralo Water problems,o Emergency cooling restoration,o Fire suppression exercises, restoration, and post fire events\xef\x82\xb7Support inventory management activitieso Receiving inventoryo Tagging of assetso Tracking spares (crash kits)o Ordering inventoryo Updating inventory recordso Prepare and return damaged equipment\xef\x82\xb7Act as an interface, as needed, between associates at the applicable location and centralized project / operations / MAC managementRequirements:\xef\x82\xb7Must be proficient in utilizing technical tools such as BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.\xef\x82\xb7Requires experience in working in communications closetso Must be able to perform rack and stack activities\xef\x82\xa7Must be able to safely lift heavy objectso Must understand cable patching processes and procedures in copper and fibero Experience in either or both CommScope and Corning structured cables (copper and fiber)o Must have a basic knowledge of data communications networking.\xef\x82\xa7Must be able to assist in troubleshooting issues\xef\x82\xa7Must understand network terminology\xef\x82\xb7Requires good interpersonal communications skillso Must be able to explain technical issues in a way the client will understand anissueo Must be able to interpret a client\xe2\x80\x99s issue in a way that will allow technician to facilitate a resolutionEducation/Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Centre operations and environment
• Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
• High school Diploma or equivalent required
