Job Description

The Advanced Research team Singapore is responsible for conducting biological research involving various skin and scalp phenotypes. Within this broad domain, the team is involved in multi-disciplinary research across various fields and works very closely with both internal departments and external partners. Aligned with the goal of Advanced research in L\'Or\xc3\xa9al R&I, the focus is to identify innovative concepts for development of novel cosmetic, dermatology and consumer care products.

The successful candidate for this position should be experienced in skin and scalp biology, with an established scientific track record and ability to setup and lead scientific projects and themes. Experience with skin immunology would be a certain asset for this position. The candidate is expected to be flexible in working within L\'Or\xc3\xa9al premises or at the external partner\'s site and also to carry out laboratory work if required. Ability to manage complexities and work efficiently in a team-oriented and a multicultural environment is a must have for this position.

Selected candidate is expected to be a team player with an active interest in carrying out inter-disciplinary research, and a passion for transforming lab discoveries to products. This position would involve managing multiple stakeholders and working closely with the global R&I teams of L\'Or\xc3\xa9al.

Key Requirements:

• Strong academic credentials - PhD in biological sciences or related fields
• Scientific training record in hair, scalp or epithelial cell biology
• Research experience in immunology is an advantage
• Active interest in inter-disciplinary research and have experience working within industry-facing R&D environment, preferably with demonstrated project management experience with excellent organizational skills
• Fluency in English
