Key Responsibilities of the Job Risk Management
  • Support the Organisation in delivering and publishing new policies and guidelines for Group Risk & Compliance Plan
  • Ensure that adequate and effective risk management policies and arrangements are established, implemented, and maintained
  • Ensure regular monitoring against risk appetite, the publication of Key Risk Indicators and that breaches of risk appetite are escalated appropriately.
  • Updating and maintaining the risk management database
  • Work with Management and all teams to ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place and working effectively.
  • Support the Management in preparing risk reports for risk/governance meeting.
Compliance
  • Proactively monitor and assess new and emerging regulations issued by the MAS, LIA, and other relevant authorities.
  • Ensure regulatory registers are kept up to date and appropriate management information is available to facilitate the ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of compliance controls and procedures with key stakeholders.
  • Review and manage policies and frameworks for compliance with relevant regulatory requirements internally and externally.
  • Perform internal review and credit analysis of counterparties
  • Provide ongoing compliance advisory and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Group in its liaison with regulators and auditors.
  • Support the Head of Division, Risk & Compliance in preparing compliance reports for governance meetings.
  • Undertake compliance reviews, investigations and ad-hoc tasks as requested by the management
Requirements of the Job
  • 4-6 years of experience in a risk, compliance or related function (e.g. audit, legal) in the financial industry, preferably with finance or corporate finance background
  • Good understanding of risk and control processes is preferrable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both verbal and written form.
  • Possess business acumen and has a keen interest in risk assessment and able to recommend adequate risk control responses
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual who is able to work independently as well as cohesively with other stakeholders.
  • Capable of balancing compliance risk and commerciality.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Relevant risk and compliance qualifications/certifications will be an added advantage.
