[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
Conduct research in rodent ecology, including laboratory testing of biological samples
Perform field sampling and data collection at various sites across Singapore
Analyse research data using statistical methods and data analytics tools
Coordinate research projects and maintain project timelines
[What we are looking for]
The traineeship might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
Degree in Rodent/Small Mammal Ecology, Zoology, or related life sciences field
Strong laboratory skills in molecular biology techniques (including DNA barcoding, qPCR and NGS methodologies)
Knowledge of small mammal systematics, biology, ecology, and/or field surveillance methods
Basic proficiency in biostatistics and statistical software packages
Physically fit for fieldwork activities
Experienced in animal dissection and morpho-taxonomy (preferred)
Experience in BSL-2 laboratory work (preferred)
Valid Class 3 driving licence with willingness to drive to field sites (vehicle provided)
Successful applicant will be offered a 6-months traineeship.
