• Corporate Reputation Management
• Media, Transactions and Issues Management
• Brand Building and Positioning
• Digital Storytelling and Campaign Management

This role will reside within the Brand Building and Positioning pillar, but from time to time will also cover cross-team assignments across the other pillarsThe Public Affairs team is seeking a 6-month maternity cover to manage, provide strategic communications counsel, and from time to time, lead communications efforts to support the Sustainability Group (SUG), whose strategy guides sustainability-related activities with the investment community, international organisations and fora like conferences, and media engagements.The role has a deep focus on sustainability-centred business and corporate activities, given Temasek's long term commitment on mainstreaming sustainability and strong desire to actively articulate its sustainability journey to diverse stakeholders. These range from business associates and partners, governments and regulators, to sustainability and ESG-focused international boards and organisations.The role also involves driving strategic communications efforts to highlight the institution's sustainability report, new sustainability-oriented investments and investment platforms across the firm, with a focus on speaking/thought leadership engagements and overall project coordination.The candidate must adapt and contribute within matrix structures in a fast-paced and dynamic cross-functional, cross-cultural environment.Responsibilities

• Work with relevant business stakeholders to raise the profile of the firm's various sustainability-centered projects, deals and initiatives amongst diverse, global audiences
• Assist with building the institution's overarching Sustainability brand positioning and narrative through media, industry and community engagement
• Support and implement communications aligned with Temasek's sustainability narrative, including staffing media interviews and speaking engagements (e.g. developing of relevant speaking materials), and handling media queries and issue communications
• Contribute to the production of sustainability-themed content (eg. videos, feature stories, op-eds, infographics etc)
• Develop, manage and maintain central knowledge database of the Sustainability Group's messaging and various activities with a strategic communications imperative, including the team's events and media calendar
• Assist with monitoring and analysing relevant media coverage
• Contribute to and manage various integrated communications programmes and campaigns, as required
• Manage agency partners and vendors to deliver on these programmes and campaigns

Requirements

• 8-10 years of relevant work experience in mass communications, public relations, sustainability or other related fields, with proven experience crafting and executing sustainability/ESG communications strategies.
• A broad and comprehensive understanding of the global sustainability/ESG space, with informed perspectives on the latest industry policies, developments and trends
• Proven track record at building, implementing and managing processes that lead to effective information management and communications between multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication experience, including strong presentation skills for audiences at senior management level.
• A critical thinker who can 'connect the dots', as well as an energetic self-starter who is highly adaptable with a can do attitude, coupled with a strong interest in sustainability
• Team player with proven organisational skills to lead multiple, concurrent projects within tight deadlines; ability to work constructively in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and partners
