Safety Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions. Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors. Maintain records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate hazards. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g., MOM, WSH Act in Singapore). Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies. Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing safety management. Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001). Certified Safety Officer or equivalent (e.g., WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH). Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:



Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis. Familiarity with safety management systems and digital reporting tools. * Ability to train and influence teams at all levels.
