Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations.
Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe.
Participating in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
Meeting company health and safety goals.
Investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site.
Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident.
Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance.
Plan and implement OHS policies and programs.
Prepare safety educational training and seminars on a regular basis.
Review existing Safety, Health policies and procedures.
Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for Safety Health and Environment work standards.
Conduct risk assessment program.
Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with the Safety Health rules and regulations.
Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
Conducts safety audits both internal and on sub-contractors works.
Takes part in accident / incident investigation and carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
Represent the company in all safety regulating government agencies.
Represent the Company in DOLE-BWC and other government agencies concerning work safety.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in any Technical Course.
Must be accredited by DOLE-Bureau of Working Condition as Safety Practitioner and a member of any safety organization.
Must be familiar with DOLE's Safety Standards and could identify hazards at workplace and observe proper work procedures.
Required Skill(s): Knowledge in Safety Standards and specifications, result oriented with sound decision making, Good interpersonal and analytical skills, Computer Literate, Proficient in both oral and written communication.
