What the role is:You assist in identifying safety issues within training institute. On this, you provide guidance for establishing and implementing plans, policies and procedures for conducting safety activities within the unit.What you will be working on:You ensure that the safety manuals are kept up to date and all personnel adhere to the policies. You also plan for resources necessary to conduct monthly safety workshops, quarterly seminars, safety package for Unit Induction Program (UIP) and Unit Commander\'s Safety Training (UCST) as well as conduct evaluations of safety programmes and activities. In addition, you develop and implement recommendations for corrective measures when warranted by adverse accident rates or trends, hazardous conditions or procedures and other deficiencies. Your challenge lies in instituting a strong and continual safety culture at each level of command beginning with self-responsibility by the individual soldier themselves.What we are looking for:You must have a tertiary qualification, with at least 3 years\' experience in safety or related fields. Having relevant professional certifications such as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSH) Certification or other Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is advantageous.
