This challenging yet exciting role puts you in the driving seat of our efforts to build and maintain an environmentally sustainable, healthy, and safe workplace. You\xe2\x80\x99ll will work closely with the EHS Manager, Functional Service Leads assist, and support implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, provide safety support to all facilities and projects, ensuring they all meet our own established standards and that of local safety regulations.
Specifically, you\xe2\x80\x99ll assist and support conducting safety review meetings with facilities and project and design team. As well, you\xe2\x80\x99ll ensure that all risk activities have proper safety work method statement (SWMS) and risk assessment. Additionally, you\xe2\x80\x99ll promote workplace safety by performing site inspections, risk reports, timely safety-related corrections, and weekly safety meetings. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also constantly work with the EHS Manager, coordinate with the engineering team, facilities team, and project and operations management to ensure that everybody will be out of harm\xe2\x80\x99s way.
Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all administrative duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. May direct and lead the work of others. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Report to the EHS Manager.

As an expert in the field, you must be flexible in taking other responsibilities aside from your core tasks. Likewise, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be working side-by-side with both engineering and facilities departments in handling our contractors. Ensuring workplace safety is also within your scope. You will actively participate in health and safety reviews and identify potential risks. You will also participate in emergency evacuation procedures as needed.

Responsibilities:
Assist and support the EHS Manager on the Workplace Safety and Health, the subsidiary and any other legislation and client\'s requirements pertaining to HSSE\'s standards and practice requirements on preventing injury to personnel and damage to facilities, equipment and infrastructure.
Assist and support the EHS Manager on the legal and client\'s requirement affecting Health, Safety, and the Environment at work site.
Check that the provision of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and any regulation made there under are complied with; and promote the safe conduct of work generally within the work site.
Carry out audit and inspection in collaboration with the EHS Manager, Site Workplace Director, Site Service Managers, and Supporting Site Facilities Team Leads,
Conduct safety training for all level of employees on Health, Safety, and Security & Environment.
Understand the Client and other legislation on Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
Prepare the HSSE Action Plan to incorporate elements of company\'s and client\'s HSSE policy, rules, regulation, and practices,
Investigate and determine the cause(s) of all incidents and recommend means of preventing recurrence.
Participate and Investigate causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site
Liaising with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident.
Finding the best way to prevent future accidents.
Review and report on the staff\'s compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance.
Revamp reporting system to a more Analytical graphics to Management.
Review the Work Methodology Statement and Risk Assessment for all facilities maintenance, and project works.
Administer and achieve Goal zero in the Workplace Safety Programme and Shell Bukom\xe2\x80\x99s Golden Rule \xe2\x80\x93 C.I.R concept.
Administer training plan and HSE asset list.
Administer and lead Blue Zone Training and supports refresher training as when required
Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Responds to after-hours emergency and/or standby calls

Education and Experience
An ideal candidate holds a solid healthy, safety and environmental (HSE) background, and has at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in safety. You are also a safety license holder, with a proven track record in providing safety trainings. We also expect you to be well versed in project safety systems, processes, tools, and best practices\xe2\x80\x94ultimately, applying such sources in the delivery of flawless facilities and projects.
