Job Description

1.Compliance & Enforcement

Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, company policies, and relevant local, state, or federal regulations (e.g., OSHA). Ensure safety procedures are being followed across all departments. Report and document any violations or unsafe practices.

Training & Education

Conduct regular safety training sessions and toolbox talks. Provide onboarding safety orientation for new hires. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in workplace safety and health.

Risk Assessment & Inspections

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. Perform risk assessments and implement corrective measures. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; recommend preventative actions.

4.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions. Prepare reports and present findings to management. Ensure all safety documentation is current and accessible.

5.

Emergency Preparedness

Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Coordinate and conduct emergency drills (fire, evacuation, spill response, etc.). * Liaise with emergency services and ensure readiness of first-aid equipment.
