Description :

The Sales and Applications Senior Engineer may generate proposals or quotes for equipment, consumables and parts that are direct sale or support of regional sales staff efforts.

Reviews sales contracts or proposals to ensure optimal offering of Dynisco products and service activity. May develop or review service proposals to Dynisco customers with multiple sites to develop combined services contracts.

This position provides support to customers and sales staff. Assists in the technical support of customers and Dynisco representatives. Generates reports, metrics and summaries as instructed by management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to call on end-user accounts and successfully close a sale on service-related products.
  • Meet minimum sales targets on selected products for yearly revenue.
  • Ability to identify new sales opportunities of Dynisco products.
  • Ensure that required technical support services for Dynisco products are delivered in the most effective and efficient way possible in order to achieve specific support related targets e.g. customer satisfaction.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Responsible for tracking, controlling and reporting status of the user base using the CRM database.
  • Acts directly to motivate, coach and develop the team in a changing business environment.
  • Leadership: communicate a positive and enthusiastic vision to other team leaders and support staff in order to maintain a high individual and team motivation and performance.
  • Ensure continuous up-to-date knowledge of the products, technology, field and related technology.
  • Ensure that customer related information is shared with Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Conducts marketing and sales surveys and investigation to understand competition offerings.
  • Manage existing service accounts, build relationships, and continually recognize opportunities to grow their business. Determine the customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and promote new service products to service those needs.
  • Product application expert with ability to deliver professional demonstrations as necessary.

  • Educate and support distributors in service sales to drive business growth and profits.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and competition.
  • Maintain records of sales and service activities and report to the Service Manager through CRM or stand-alone formats on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Produces support documentation i.e. Sales Bulletins, Service Bulletins, procedures, technical notes and blog.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to form and maintain customer relationships; good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of polymers and products.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of environmental laws
  • Knowledge of DoT, OSHA and other governmental regulations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering specifications.
  • Ability to be innovative and work outside the \xe2\x80\x9cbox\xe2\x80\x9d
Education and Experience
  • BA/BS College Degree with a technical background. Preferably in Electro/mechanical studies.
  • Five years related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Courses in social sciences or basic chemistry; or equivalent related experience
  • Current, valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and passport
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel 50 \xe2\x80\x93 75% of the time.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to operate a vehicle for a continual period on a regular basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate, demonstrate cleaning of equipment and computer software.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
