Ultimately, the job of Sales & Marketing includes; - Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. Work in a hands-on fashion, building the team to provide motivation and inspiration. Set the precedent for excellence through continuous learning and leading by example. Provide progress report to key stake-holder on a daily, weekly and monthly bases.MARKETING AREAS Continually assess our marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales. Stay up-to-date on current market trends through continuous learning. Work collaboratively with the sales team to assess current projections. Collaborate to innovatively reach more potential customers. Take calculated risks to increase profitability and brand recognition. Cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add values. Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share. Plans and oversees advertising, digital marketing and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating to closing deals. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Trained employees on product knowledge and techniques on services.SALES AREAS Directs sales to distributor activities and sets performance goals accordingly Oversee day-to-day sales, monitoring and forecasting to understand the market. Responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding sales goals forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies through marketing recommendations on selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand. Reviews and analyses sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
