Roles Business development manager will be responsible for driving the growth of the company by generating new business opportunities and increasing the sales turnover. The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest of potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners\' needs and goals.
Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met within given time frame.
Understand the company\xe2\x80\x99s goal and purpose to enhance the company\xe2\x80\x99s performance.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company\xe2\x80\x99s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Conduct in depth research and analysis for business development of new products and potential markets
